A DRIVE TO WARRAGAMBA DAM + BLUE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

This past gloomy weekend we spent the Saturday exploring, we drove up to Warragamba dam a place the girls or myself had never been and it completely took our breath away with how large it is, how calm one side was while the other not so much, when we had followed all the foot paths we ended up driving around.

We ended up Mulgoa following the sign for the Neapean lookout which we must have missed since we had seen Deer and got a little too excited and instead ended up at the entrance to the Blue Mountains National park, which had two look outs.
One was 5kms away Rileys Mountain and the other was The Rock Lookout which was just ahead obviously us being with the girls we choose the later not really thinking until we got there and realised that maybe it wasn't the best idea as my palms got super sweaty, as the drop off was pretty deadly but the view was amazing.

Hello.

Breathe in and breathe out is what I tell myself almost every moment the chaos starts to get too much, the running around, the screaming and all the little extra things which equal to motherhood of no longer toddlers but of a teen, tween and a pre tween.

They have grown so much that catches me by surprise.

Life in some way is so much easier but also so not.

On a side note this blog is a continuation of the old one but a some what new chapter of our life.

21 October 2021

brief

Lockdown is over, the girls are back to their after-school activities, one back to school officially and we somewhat celebrated with them going over to my parents for the weekend.

I went back to the gym, which has been rather lovely.

Having the house be silent after so many weeks was rather strange but also much needed.

I still haven’t ventured into the retail world to get anything as honestly it all seems too much right now and I just want to sit down for a little bit, sip a coffee at our favourite spot and watch the girls play by the ocean.

As I quickly type this my belly is full with oranges, popcorn and green tea, I am eagerly waiting for Chris to get home from work as its his turn to organise dinner.

Its the second week of school holidays and since we have been inlock down for lets say 14 weeks, things at home are getting rather boring for the girls, I don’t know how much more sorting we can do without completely removing everything we actually own.

This afternoon it’s raining so our normal after work routine is out the window we normally go for a bike ride for them and I run or walk behind them, as I’ve set a 5km run/walk goal for myself so far it’s going great. So the girls are watching a movie they’ve already seen more than a million times and Rocky is on the bed sleeping.

And I am counting down for bedtime because the 5am starts have started to catch up on me.
